Here’s a list of the most frequently visited destinations as single day tours. The schedule is flexible according to your pace, how many stops you wish to have, taking pictures, spending more time on a site versus another, etc. We only advise about time limitations set by the timetable of museums, archaeological sites, et al, so that we can fit the most in a day, before their closing times.

1. Athens city
A definite 'must'. You may visit Acropolis, the new Acropolis museum, Thission, the Ancient Agora including the best preserved temple in Greece, the Archaeological Museum, the temple of Olympian Zeus (biggest temple of its time), stroll the roads of Plaka (the old part of the city) and its flea market, have lunch in one of Athens’ oldest genuine tavernas (est 1879), ascend to Lycabettus hill by cable car, and many other spots and locations, without troubling yourselves with road traffic and parking (which is considered almost impossible in downtown Athens..).

For those who have already seen the centre of the city, two complementary tours that will get you acquainted with the surroundings of Athens, equally rich in history, tradition and culture:

2. Attica South
A tour starting at the wondrous, 2-million years old, Koutouki cave with the impressive variety of stalactites, stalagmites and curtains of rock, perched on Mount Hymettus, the mountain with the 44 different species of orchids.

Proceeding to Vouliagmeni Lake, the ‘Sunken Lake’ with the calm surface and the vast, underwater and never fully explored cave, enchanted by its myths... At the end of the day, the majestic Poseidon's Temple in Sounion with its unparalleled sunset over the weather beaten cliffs.

3. Attica North & Marathon area
A vast variety of sights, like the starting point of the Marathon run and museum, protoelladic and mesoelladic era cemeteries, the temple of Nemesis (goddess of revenge), the only temple in Greece dedicated to this goddess, a visit to the temple of Artemis’s shrine, at Vravrona.

4. The Peloponese A –The Classic Route
An area full of wondrous sights, like the legendary Mycenae with the Tomb of Agamemnon, the coastal town of Nafplion (the first capital of Greece) with its impressive citadel and beautiful sea views, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus with the best acoustics in the world, Saint Paul's Church and ancient Corinth, and, finally, Corinth Canal (with its spectacular bungee jumping, for the brave!...) Additionally, a visit to a family owned boutique winery and a brief (or not so brief…) degustation of excellent red and white wines.

5. The Peloponese B –The Flaming Route
A tour really beyond the ordinary, right in the crater of the Methana volcano, combined with a visit to two of the most impressive dolines, created by meteorites, according to the legend.

Can be combined with some of the sights of the ‘Classic Route’.

6. The Peloponese C – The Olympic Route
(A one or two day tour)
A tour to ‘where everything started’…Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. On the way, history and modern technology meet through the impressive suspension bridge of Rio, which connects central Greece to the Peloponese.

Alternatively, it can also be combined with some of the sights of the ‘Classic Route’.

7. The Peloponese D – The Rack Route
(A one or two day tour)
Peloponese again, but this time on a perfect trek along the Vouraikos gorge. At the end of the trek, Odontotos, the famous little rack train, will take you back up to the quaint village of Zachlorou, for a relaxing lunch next to the shaded bridge. On the way back, short stop at the unique ‘Cave of the Lakes’, or/and the majestic monastery of Mega Spilaion.

8. Delphi – The Navel of Cosmos
(A one or two day tour, ideally combined with tour #9)
A wonderful trip to the famous Oracle, with optional quick visits to the second highest waterfall in Greece, or at off-the-beaten track sites that prove Myceanean presence in the area long before the oracle’s times, or at Saint Luke’s impressive 10th century Byzantine Monastery, pass through the scenic Arahova village and finally reach the Oracle with museum and archaeological site. Time permitting, you can also make a visit to Fokis Mining Park, where you will take a journey to the center of the earth at Mine Gallery 850, then pass through historical Gravia village and Parnassos National Park, arriving at an elevated plateau (approx. 1500 meters above sea level) and closing with an excellent lunch in one of the best taverns we’ve ever been to!...

9. Meteora
(A one or two day tour, ideally combined with tour #8)
A worthwhile trip to the famous mountain perched monasteries of the North. Though it is best done with an overnight, it can also be done in one day, leaving very early in the morning. A breathtaking sight will unfold before your eyes. No words can describe the sheer beauty of a truly unique spectacle… And finally, how would you feel visiting the oldest -130,000 years old- Neaderthal cave in Greece?

10. One day cruise to the Saronic Islands
An ingenious way to get a sense of Greek islands within a few hours without getting tired, as various guests have enthusiastically reported after taking it. The ship visits three islands (Hydra, Poros and Aegina), makes a short stop to each one, (lunch on board is included, along with a folklore dance programme), and returns in the evening. Let us know so that we can book tickets for you through our associates and arrange your transfer to and from the port.

11. Hiking, trekking, just walking…

Extraordinary treks, off-the-beaten-track hikes, dives in small rivers under crystal waterfalls, lush scenery, hidden, family owned taverns with the most authentic food, deserted beaches...all in places where only a handful of tourists go…We know the best, and we can plan out everything for you….
